9.* NORWICH UNION Fire Ins Soc. Copper, W29O/A29N(i)*B-C. Mark still retaining its original colouring. Bright gilding although black background is flaking in places. No flattening or tearing to edges. A very good example of this variant. 65
10. PHOENIX Ass Co. Copper, W23G/A23A(vi)-C. painted Policy No. 223803. Mark in overall good condition. Evidence of gilding but no background colour. No spear tip but clearly painted policy number. 50

Several fatigue cracks all within the body of the mark, issued at the on-set of the Company in 1769. Small amount of colour on sail. 1,500
