A very good example of this very early company mark, known as The Mickey Mouse, due to its resemblance to the cartoon character, issued in 1721 the year after it began business. Struggling at first due to the aftermath of South Sea Bubble problems, very few of these marks have come to light and in the past prices have reached the high thousands, this example originally came from the Royal Exchange collection, and is illustrated in Wright, slight bending to the top of the crown.
