Every GP practice is required to have a Patient Participation Group (PPG). The Marisco Patient Group is the PPG for Marisco Medical Practice. We are a group of patients of the practice
and one of our roles is to represent patient views and opinions about the services available at the practice.
We meet every 4 to 6 weeks at Mablethorpe to be briefed about and discuss changes and improvements to the NHS that may effect patients. Members also report back on other meetings that
they have attended on a variety of health related subjects.
We also hold a quarterly public meeting.
We do not deal with individual medical or personal complaints, these being dealt with by the practices own existing proceedures.
Members come from a wide range of backgrounds and share their experience and knowledge with each other and the practice who also consult with us and receive
feedback on current and future plans.
Anyone registered as a patient at Marisco Medical Practice can become a member of the Marisco Patient Group. All you need to do is let the practice know that you want to join and they will
pass your name and contact details (Only) to us and we will be in touch soon.
No member ever has access to any patients medical records.
What do you have to do? After joining you will receive a regular e-mail with details of meetings, visits and everything else that we are doing. You are under no obligation to take part.
However, if you choose to, you can attend meetings, help with refreshment mornings, or get involved in anything else. Our AGM is in October and any member may nominate themselves
to be on the committee which is elected annually at the AGM.
